The new Berlin Hauptbahnhof is a modern hub of many routes. This is where the modernized route to Halle begins. First, we are accompanied by Lichterfelde Süd, the sprawling urban area of Berlin. From here begins the LZB-guided section.

With an almost universally permissible speed of 200 km / h, the old garrison town of Jüterbog and the elbe city of Lutherstadt Wittenberg with their imposing Elbe bridges are passed.

The station of Bitterfeld shines in fresh splendor and scores with a state-of-the-art track field. Shortly thereafter, the LZB area is abandoned. After another 30 kilometers on a partially upgraded route, Halle / Saale is reached. For the first time in an add-on, the huge track area of Halle is equipped with DB tracks.

This track is equipped with Norbert Rieger's DB Tracks and offers completely revised tracks and catenaries.
