Anyone who travelled on German rails by Intercity from 1971 onwards always travelled "first-class" – because there was simply no 2nd class in the IC at that time.
But the demand was high. So in 1979, the new, improved Intercity of the Bundesbahn took up service. From then on, the IC also had 2nd class coaches and also ran much more frequently than before, with an hourly frequency. "Intercity. Every hour, every class." was the advertising slogan of the Federal Railways at the time.
Even today, more than 40 years later, the Intercity is still an important part of German long-distance traffic and has received countless modernizations over the years.
This means that the IC Mod is in no way inferior to its competition in long-distance transport in terms of comfort.
3DZUG has implemented seven IC cars in detail on the exterior and interior for Train Simulator. On top of that, we supply the mobile control car, so that true-to-the-original push-pull operation is possible.
