Version 1.1 from 08.12.2025
Anyone who travelled on German rails by Intercity from 1971 onwards always travelled "first-class" – because there was simply no 2nd class in the IC at that time.
But the demand was high. So in 1979, the new, improved Intercity of the Bundesbahn began its journey.
From then on, the IC also had 2nd class coaches and also ran much more frequently than before, with an hourly frequency. "Intercity. Every hour, every class." was the advertising slogan of the Federal Railways at the time.
Even today, more than 40 years later, the Intercity is still an important part of German long-distance transport and has undergone numerous modernisations over the decades.
For a long time, it was able to successfully hold its own alongside the ICE and remained a familiar companion for millions of travellers.
With this package, 3DZUG presents seven completely newly built IC cars from the late 1990s and early 2000s for Train Simulator.
The coaches offer detailed exterior models, harmonious interiors and train destination displays. This guarantees uncomplicated use in a wide range of scenarios.
