ZVV HVZ-D LION
The LION project is called: "Litting, Initiation, Imagination, Development"
During the modernization of the DPZ compositions, one 2nd class car per composition was replaced by a newly procured low-floor double-decker car (NDW). The 2nd class double-deck coaches that were no longer needed were all overhauled and about 20% converted into 1st/2nd class coaches. This was then used to put together the so-called HVZ (rush hour) trains. These consist of either 6 or 10 double-deck coaches and are coupled at the front and rear with a modernized Re 420.

This add-on is intended for advanced riders. This is mainly due to the use of stepper switch speed control and the lack of speed control.
