This add-on includes the SBB's Re 4/4 I commuter train from the 1950s
as well as four scenarios for the Gotthard Panorama
Express from simtrain.ch

History 

Towards the end of the Second World War, concrete plans were made for a new, light and fast
type of locomotive. Particular attention was paid to the ability to drive around corners at
higher speeds. The heavy Ae 4/4 251 of the BLS served as a model.
While the SLM created the mechanical part, the MFO led the electrical design and shared
the work with the companies BBC and SAAS. From 1946 to 1951, the locomotives with
the numbers 401–426 and 427–450 were delivered in two sub-series. The newly
developed transformer with radial sheeting from BBC brought a great weight saving. Between 1958 and 1960, the locomotives
were renumbered (10001–10050). The control and driver's brake valves of the "Westinghouse" type
were replaced by those from Oerlikon. The G/P/R switches have also been simplified, and the "G" position has been removed.
In the mid-60s, the spokes of the wheels were reinforced.
The Re 4/4 I is remembered as a modern locomotive before the light express trains, but also from
its later use in regional traffic and as a universal locomotive even before freight trains.

Scenarios / Train driver service on the Gotthard

When the Gotthard Panorama Express is installed, there are 4 scenarios under DRIVING / -STANDARD:

- GPE_08 – strollers on the mountain (Erstfeld to Göschenen)

- GPE_09 – back down the valley (Göschenen to Erstfeld)

- GPE_10 – by pendulum to the lake (Erstfeld to Flüelen with manoeuvres)

- GPE_11 – Tour group returning home (Flüelen – Gurtnellen – Erstfeld Depot)

FREE GAME 4 starting positions

- FSp_08 - ride in the control car from Flüelen, track 1

- FSp_09 - ride in locomotive Re4/4I from Göschenen, track 1

- FSp_10 - locomotive from depot, train assembly in Erstfeld

- FSp_11 - Re4/4 pendulum at Lake Uri
