The add-on depicts the ring of Berlin's S-Bahn and long-distance rail in its 2022 state. A branch line leads to Pankow in the north. The long-distance railway is drivable from Treptower Park to the Treptow freight station (after a round of the ring).
Signals, safety technology and track markings are available on S-Bahn and long-distance railway tracks. The signals of the S-Bahn are still secured with track stops. The authors have gone to great lengths to make the cityscape as recognizable as possible. Garbage, dirt and graffiti are at best hinted at. We were of the opinion: the prototype is dirty enough, it doesn't have to be simulated like that.
An exception in the chronological representation is Tempelhof Airport. This is still served in the simulation. Some signal boxes that have already been demolished (Frankfurter Allee B2, Ostkreuz OKO) have been erected as a virtual monument contrary to the original. Also, the signal boxes that are no longer in use do not look as rancid as in reality, but look well-maintained and preserved.

- Memory: 16 MB or more,
- Hard drive for simulator and add-on: SSD-M2 min. 256 GB,
- Powerful graphics card with at least 4GB of memory.
The add-on Ringbahn Berlin runs completely in the Berlin city area, so the requirements for the computer are quite high.
