ProTrain 25 Koblenz Gießen After the Lahn had been made navigable by the construction of numerous weirs and locks at the beginning of the 19th century for the industrially oriented removal of the raw materials mined in the Lahn valley, a short time later they were looking for ways to continue transporting goods along the Lahn to accelerate.
