This add-on takes you back to the GDR in 1985. The electrified route begins in the district town of Erfurt.
Going past agricultural areas, the Goethestadt Weimar is reached. From now on the route runs in the wide valley of the Ilm.

The river Saale is crossed behind Großheringen and shortly afterwards the Rudelsburg and Saaleck castles attract attention. Vineyards line the sometimes rugged flanks of the Saale valley behind Bad Kösen.
Soon afterwards Weißenfels and Großkorbetha impress with their large track fields. The urban area of Halle is reached in the suburb of Ammendorf. Wide-branched track systems accompany you to the central station of the district city.
The marshalling yard and the two depots of the railway metropolis complete the route.
